KL0S/4 Dino's comments re USB hubs interesting. I had problems running a
Cannon scanner via a Belkin powered hub - would not work but would if
plugged straight into the USB socket on the iMac. USB sockets not available
in the UK but there are PC 2 x USB socket strips for conversion on a PC.
Using this and a 3 pole CO switch all mounted in a die cast box with a lead
to the USB output on the Mac I can switch from one USB output to the other =
-
just switch the two data lines and the +ve rail. Rather defeats the object
of USB but it solved my problem! Nice little evening project too!
