Are you using Win98+USB of VPC (with Win driver) or CommToolbox driver
(on MAC side) and VPCs 16550USART emulation?
Second one can be tricky - MPLAB barely communicates with WARP-13
programmer and trouble is in MPLAB - dirty serial code. You cannot use
Windows USB port, just COM1-COM4 - hard-wired.
