The spot is only added to the log if you push the "Log QSO" button or use
the "Log QSO" Menu Item.

You can also add the call to your User Call Book for future lookups but the
call is not added to your log.

What you are seeing in the "Log" panel  is the results of the "LookUp" so
that you will see if you have worked that station before.

To see the contents of the log, Hit the "LookUp" button with a blank "Call"
field.

Absolutely - I'm using it with Keyspans on OS 9 and OSX.

If you can email me the CAT commands from the manual for the FT1000MP I can
have the driver done in a day or two.

No, registration only affects your time limit.
