I have to agree with Chris on this one, RB is fine for a few quick
tools you need in a hurry but overall its not very efficent.

You may also look into Pascal for an alternative language if your
applications
arent too rigerous like writing sound drivers. I generally use the now free
Think Pascal 4.5. The downfall it only generates 68k code. Ok if your a
die-hard
(read cheapo) like me and still use 68k gear for ham work. Code Warriror
would
be my first choice as Chris suggested you need speed/flexability.
