I sold a bunch of stuff & bought an Icom IC-7200 - eliminated the
need for an external notch filter, it's very portable, & I really
like the user interface.

Now I need to sort out what Linux apps to use with it. I use
two sub-versions of Puppy Linux, one for the 64-laptop and another
for the 32's.

The 7200 has a USB interface.

Also, I acquired a BeagleBone-Black and am looking at Linux on it
for the purpose of digital modes, though I have a spare laptop.

TIZEN (a fork of Linux for cellphones, etc. by Samsung and
others, is due out this Fall on phones and is already being
tested on a variety of hardware.
