How are you defining "seen"? Etherape? Ping? tcpdump? telnet?

IIRC, I think that tcpdump or etherape on a particular port may not see 
traffic between two other ports, because the switch only passes packets 
between the two ports that are connected, and does not broadcast the 
packets to all ports.

Or something like that.
