perhaps we should promote Linux in our respective radio clubs and include
this email address in the promotion.

LUG groups hold such events yearly (or more frequently) to introduce Linux
to newbies and assist in installation while promoting their local LUG.

I have demo ham radio apps to my club a few times and answered many of 
their questions.
So far, I think I have one newbie. There are more but need a "push".

Perhaps with time, it will result more activity on this list.
(I prefer this list as opposed to yahoo)
