In Linux, download "wine". It is a sort of emulator for windows.

I do not believe MIX will work in it though. I can confirm that ACLOG works.
For digital modes, use FLDIGI or GPSK.

Also, to become more knowledgable in Linux, google "linux Google" and 
book mark that. When ever you need info on anything Linux, go there and 
type in what you are seeking.
