[Ham-Linux] USB version of CT-62 Cable?

Has anyone successfully used a USB (instead of Serial)
version of a CT-62 cable?

I spotted this and wondered if it played nice with
Hamlib and Linux and a Yaesu FT-857 (or 897)?
