They have a contract with mudsoft that gets them a really nice price if
they promise to ship windoze in every product. Its just like the
contract Pepsi and Coke have with different quick shops to sell only one
brand or even schools to vend only one line of products. Its restraint
of trade that is probably blatantly illegal but it goes on all the time.

That contract price is probably so low that the added cost of
inventorying a computer package without windoze costs them more than
simply shipping everything with windoze.
