Their Chinese coolies only know how to load mudsoft to the hard drives.
The only possibility is to buy on sale and immediately load Linux. I've
done that already.
HP (but probably not Compaq) is pushing Linux, might even ship with
Linux if you ask.
Any other commercial seller of factory computer packages only sells with
windoze and threatens that they won't accept the computer back if the
hardware fails and its not running the windoze it was shipped with. Then
they don't supply a windoze recovery disk, the last Compaq I bought, I
had to go find DVD-R and make my own recovery disks.
They don't pay much for each windoze license, but they prize it a lot
more.
