Don't overlook Ubuntu. Very easy install on a laptop PC - without
damage to the Windoze XP. Its standard install includes an impressive
list of Ham applications. The only problem I had with the install was
getting a Netgear USB wireless adapter to work. But, after a couple
hours all was up-and-running.
