The cygwin package from RedHat installs a shell, Unix style utilities 
and gcc on a Windows system. It can be used to port a Linux application 
onto that half baked OS. You can compile it so it will run standalone, 
or require the cygwin.dll. You can find it at <http://www.cygwin.com/>. 
Be prepared to give up about 1.5 GB of hard drive to install it.
