First, while XP-Pro is the best version of Windoze that M$ has shipped,
it is still far from good. BUT, until there is a version of a PC Sound
card Digi-mode app with all the niceties of MixW2, I will continue to
have atleast 1 box around here running it or its replacement. So don't
feel bad about compromising your ideology<G> We all do ( or will).
The other machines and laptops are running some Debian kernel based
distro. My current favorites are DSL for laptops ( or desktops) with
low memory, hard drive and Mips and Kubuntu for those with space and
Mips for a full blown, give me all of everything system. All items
subject to change without prior notice. I have a copy of Puppy to
eval; a month or two ago it was Mepis instead of (K)ubuntu.
