[Ham-Linux] Redhat 7.x to Fedora Core1

I've three boxen here. One is the "local" APRS server (aprsd) as well as 
my xastir client box.

I'm looking to upgrade all 3 to Fedora Core1 - IF (big if) it's got a 
reasonable chance of success and not too many hassles following.

I've heard good reports on going from 9.0 or even 8.0 to Fedora Core1 - 
but from the 7.x family? I'm a bit concerned that's a pretty big jump.

Anyone have any info or experience or is it best to just wipe, install 
and restore data from backup.
