[Ham-Linux] System backup methods

Now, I'm starting to test this:
- backup with tar, gz or bzip2 (my system is a mandrake 9.1) to a slave hd 
containing only the backup files
- boot from a knoppix 3.2 cd and restore by cut and paste (e.g. konqueror 
under kde). It's somewhat slow but it's simple and solid. Knoppix run under 
cd alone, requires only ram and mount all the existing partitions found on 
hd. Also contains parted to do somethink if needed.
