Jonathan,
One way (likely the most common and easiest way) to do what you want is
to use SAMBA. Here's a starter for ya:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.3-Manual/custom-guide/ch-samba.html
You may also want to look at:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/SMB-HOWTO.html
And also:
http://www.samba.org/
What you'll eventually end up doing is setting up your disk volumes in
ME as 'shared drives'. Then use the SAMBA "client" to mount those shared
drives into your LINUX file system.
As to seeing your hard drives: Just use the 'mount' command. See if it's
listed in it's output. You can also 'cat /etc/fstab' - see if /dev/hdb
is listed anywhere in there, and if so, where it's mounted at.
You can also use "fdisk /dev/sdb" and then 'p' to print the second SCSI
drive's partition table. It may well not even be partitioned yet, or
formatted, or mounted. Lotsa options. (First disk should be /dev/sba)
This'll help:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/SCSI-2.4-HOWTO/
Good luck!
