[Ham-Computers] Email help please

This is not strictly a ham software issue, but I've not been able to
find help elsewhere. Maybe some gracious soul herein can assist me.

I have been a user of att.net for many years, utilizing Thunderbird as
my client. I keep TB up to date. The last few weeks my w4byg mail
account works fine, but my primary account (my name) no longer allows me
to log in. I get the message:

"Sending of password for user raymond_larue at att.net did not succeed.
Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again
later."

I've  been patiently trying for over 2 weeks, no dice. I can log in via
their webmail and get my mail, but no longer via Thunderbird. So my
login is correct and is accepted by their webmail.

I have tried deleting and re-entering the account and server info in TB
and rebooting my PC, to clear any possible corrupted cashing, to no avail.

I have not found any customer service contact info. None of ATT's online
boiler plate help references are applicable.

Has anyone else overcome such a problem?

If so, please correspond off the list to keep QRM down.

Your assistance will be appreciated.
Ray, W4BYG at att.net (this account is working)
