I'm not great with Win anymore but if you want to download (free)
Thunderbird, they have directions on how to import Outlook mail. It's
made by Mozilla, the Firefox people. It's usable on any operating system
and requires almost nothing to run. I use it and have for many years.
I did some searching...
This link gives you an overview of the built-in mail program:

The comments at the end would make me run screaming.
This one is even more distressing:

the mail app doesn't have the option to import the contacts and emails
There is a process they mention that may help, but it involves an
outside email service.
I'd use a different email program. MS is useless on a good day. This is
inexcusable.
Good luck to you, Sir.
