Herb, are you married to MS Edge?
If not try Chrome or Firefox.
Old MS IE should still be installed on your system so you could download 
either.
Don't get me wrong I think Edge is a nice upgrade to IE but I never 
liked IE so I have always used Firefox and now I use it and Chrome.
You could also have a network problem.
Have you tried to ping known websites using the command prompt?
