: SD cards are issued in compatibility blocks. They are back compatible in
: earlier generations, but they are not forward compatible for more
: advanced generations of cards. One of the major breaks is between 32GB
: and 64GB. It sounds like you have run into such a problem. You probably
: need to consider upgrading your reader and software (OS). Try upgrading
: your reader (maybe a USB plug in version) and getting a modern OS. You
: could get a bootable DVD of Linux to try for free and see if you can
: access your SD card with your new reader.

Thanks for the info. We're using Windows XP, Build 2600, SP3 right now,
considering an "upgrade" to Windows 10 Professional before the year is out.
Might upgrade beyond 50K dialup speeds, too! Linux is also a consideration
down the line, but the primary computer will the Windows. The reader I'm
using is an older Iomega multi-reader. No problems with reading USB, SD or
micro-SD to 32 GB.
