[Ham-Computers] Computer Help Needed

Jim,

Yes, I tried the System Recovery to a few days ago when it was working.
Well that did not work. It churned and burned and came up with that there
was an error and recovery could not be completed. I tried it several time
and even to different restore points but got the same message that it could
not be completed!

Several of those who responded suggested dumping IE 11 and going to FireFox
instead which is what I did and it works just fine, so will stay there. IE
11 still hangs up and never even gets me to any browser page.

I am still baffled about what happened with IE 11 but at least I now have a
good and stabile web browser again.

Thanks to all who responded,

Herb

Did you try System Recovery? Control Panel> System and Security (Find and
Fix Problems) Recovery (lower left corner of screen)? There are other
approaches to get to this area, but I'm away from home using a Fujitsu
laptop so can't look them up. All my computers except this one are Dell.

Also Dell has Forums where people post problems. See
http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/

I have received help from the forums in the past.
