If that doesn't work, use your Windows Install disks like you were going to do a fresh install of Windows, but instead select the "Windows Repair" option (or whatever it's called in your OS). And if that doesn't work, you might use another computer (if you have one), download Firefox, install and use it till you resolve your problem. At least that'll get you on the web where you can research the problem. 73 de Phil, KO6BB http://www.qsl.net/ko6bb/ (Web Page) PRESENT RADIOS: Grundigs: S-350 (~2006), G6 (2011) & S450DLX (2014). This router is supposed to have a solid green power light. No other lights are supposed to be on until you plug in your 'wan', the cable from your modem, or you plug a computer into one of the 4 other sockets on the back. Then the ones that you plug in should turn green. You will then get a msg. at the bottom of your computer screen that says your local area connection is ........ usually 100mbs or so. You can also go to your network page in control pannel and the network diagram should have a completed sign. If not connected it will have a red x in the pipeline icon. Hope this helps. By the way, what is your call sign???? And never thought that I would write this. But... Reinstall XP. It has its problems and it takes forever to boot up. But it almost always works, so long as you reboot it weekly. And it doesn't have nearly as many totally worthless bells and whistles. Alternatively, install 8 and set it to display like 7. Well that did not work. It churned and burned and came up with that there was an error and recovery could not be completed. I tried it several time and even to different restore points but got the same message that it could not be completed! Several of those who responded suggested dumping IE 11 and going to FireFox instead which is what I did and it works just fine, so will stay there. IE 11 still hangs up and never even gets me to any browser page. I am still baffled about what happened with IE 11 but at least I now have a good and stabile web browser again. It is my first choice. However, Firefox is often slow when downloading a PDF file, like the manual for my GPS. and I have found that Google Chrome works much better for that application. However, I like a menu bar and also the opportunity to add different instances (Firefox calls them profiles), which Firefox has and Chrome does not.
