[Ham-Computers] USB to serial converter

Hello,
I am having trouble getting my USB cable to work to program my Baofeng UV-3R using windows 7. All I get is Com 1 where with XP I can get other com ports. Anyone know what could be wrong? It seems that maybe the computer wont accept the driver I am using . Thanks!
