Subject: [Ham-Computers] Rumors About W8DBF
Hi All,
Yes, the rumors are true about me having had a heart attack on March 6,
2014. The descending coronary artery was 99% blocked. They put in two
stints, end to end, to cover the blocked area. All the other arteries were
fine. Fortunately for me!
I was back home the evening of March 8th. They sure do not keep you like
they used to do! A good thing, at least in most ways! Especially the food!
To call it 'bad' would be way way too kind! After eating some of that stuff,
things I normally would not eat even if starvation was around the corner,
tasted good!
The doctors told me that I now qualify for the Ginnis Book Of World Records,
since I have now out lived that famous "cat with nine lives"! Forget the
fame, I am just happy to still be here and functional!
My heartfelt thanks to all of you who wrote, and called, my daughter Shelly.
She and I both appreciate your warm wishes and good thoughts VERY much. It
is nice to have caring friends! You guys, and ladies, are the BEST! Thanks
so much -
Duane, W8DBF
