Did not see you get a reply. Not 100% sure what you are talking about, but
in the upper right of the map is "satellite" or "map" which alternates
between two views with drop downs to fine tune. If you also have "earth"
you have Google Earth installed as an option too.

I have a a question regarding Google Maps.
I seem to get two versions. One resembles a road map that has been left out
in the sun and has faded. The other looks like Google Earth with with
roads, their names, and other information superimposed in white. Contrast
is excellent. Sometimes I get the first version, and sometimes the second -
I don't have any control. How can I specify the type map?
I'm also asked for my current location now and then. What gives?
I went to Google mygroups and tried to post this question in the How Do I
group, but cannot find a button that allows me to make a new post. Has
anyone managed to post a new topic?
