[Ham-Computers] Choosing a Terabyte USB HDD?

We need to attach a terabyte (1TB or larger) HDD to our ASUS RT-N16
router.

Has anyone recently researched and/or purchased one of these big
dogs and have some input as to solid performance and price?

The primary purpose will be for photos, plus a few brief video
clips.
