FYI: Radio Shack was founded in South Boston circa 1937 by William Halligan,
Sr. The same Bill Halligan who previously founded the Hallicrafters Radio
Company in circa 1934.
Bill and his partner, Toby, opened the first store and Bill named it Radio
Shack after the radio room on the WW1 ships he served on.
If Bill could see what his Radio Shack has become ... He would not turn over
in his grave, he would climb out and short out someone's shorts!
