[Ham-Computers] Win XP batch files?

The problem isn't finding the files or even writing the batch file, the
problem is running the batch file as one of the very first items when the
computer starts up as the files are "in use" once XP starts and assigns
certain files to a user or process.

Like DOS had command.com and windows 3.x used autoexec.bat, I need to find
that one initial start program/file that XP uses.

Dropping to the command prompt doesn't work because all the files assigned
to users of XP are still in use so they can't be touched. I need to get to
the files before XP even knows it exists.

: Using the dir/b command you can search the entire HD, including
sub-folders
: etc., by using the /s command. Such as, dir/b *.dbx /s Which will search
the
: hard drive, and all directories, for any files having the extension of
: ".dbx". Commonly found where the computer hides files taken from Outlook
: Express. Such as "Deleted Items" etc.
