1. usb to serial cable (comes with driver)
2. port card: you just need to know whether your pc takes full or 
half-height cards and if you have an open slot

Either will work.
The bonus with the cable is that you can use a bunch of them if you have 
more than one serial device (and the control software supports all 
available comm ports).
