[Ham-Computers] Connecting Tablet to PC.

Yep, like someone else said, cell phone internet. Verizon has a wireless
unit (MyFi?) to share the internet across other machines, but if I am
thinking correct, could be $20-50 extra per month. Out of my league now,
never done that. Have him talk to Verizon about options. At least you will
have a starting point. Maybe there is a home brew way of connecting around
the house. Dan KI6X

: to the internet directly (through a wired/wireless router) and then you
can
: use either on the internet at any time even if the PC is off. Get a
: Wireless N router (choice also based on internet method used, Cable, DSL,
: dial-up). About $50 will get you a real good one (Netgear, D-link,
: Linksys).

OK... Starting to make sense... I am not quite sure of the computer
conneciton side, but they get their internet service through a "Verizon"
dongle on the end of a cable, might be USB on the computer side, haven't
looked yet. Anyone familiar with these devices?
