Disagree. You're going to be more vulnerable with XP once support
stops, which is soon. Any new vulnerabilities discovered or developed
for XP will not be patched. Since many will be sticking with XP,
particularly businesses, it will still be a huge target.
You will also be vulnerable due to apps you run on XP, which may or may
not be patched.
I run linux at home and work primarily. Because I have to support
Windows, I have to keep a Windows box. I have 7 at work and XP at home
and felt like you - I'd just keep XP. But after consideration, I'm
probably going to downgrade to 7 at home after support for XP ends.
I hate M$ but have to be realistic and safe. I recommend the same for
everyone else.
