[Ham-Computers] Clicking On A Link

Hi All,

This system is a 3 GHZ Windows XP Home Edition OS. I almost never wander the
world wide web, so forgive my unawareness of what to you may be obvious.

Normally I go to Internet Explorer and type in the address that I want to go
to.

Today I received a rather lengthy and complex link address that I thought I
would just click on from within the e-mail. Nothing happens. Unless I am
mistaken, it should have taken me to the address that I clicked on.

I am assuming that when this Compaq business system was set up for me that
the function allowing the user to click on a link from within an e-mail was
disabled. So where do I go to find the menus that will allow me to enable
this function?

Thanks!

Oh yes, Internet Explorer and Outlook Express are both versions 7.0
