[Ham-Computers] Can I Connect an IDE Drive and CD Drive to the Same Cable?

Hi Gene:
I'm a little slow in replying, as the cable was 
in the computer and I encountered some new 
problems.  They are fixed, and I'm presently installing the sp3 upgrade.

If the hard drive and CD are installed, I need a 
cable that measures about 10 1/2  inches from the 
motherboard to the center connector, and another 
10 inches from the center connector to the end 
connector.  I doubt if cables that long are 
available, but check and see what you have.
