[Ham-Computers] Can I Connect an IDE Drive and CD Drive to the Same Cable?

Gene  Thanks for the offer of a cable.  I'll measure tomorrow and contact you.
Robert: You were quite tactful about my awful description.  The 
motherboard has two SATA connectors, so I can get adapters if I 
continue to have problems or use a computer a friend said she would 
give me after she purchases another one.  We'll see what happens.
