[Ham-Computers] Dual boot problem update

HP says their computer won’t do it so that joe schmoe who thinks he knows
“all about” computer thingies because he took a class in Jr. High doesn’t
try it and screw everything all up – because THEIR tech support doesn’t know
how to do it or how to fix it if Joe does screw everything up.

(And my company outsources their hardware and server support to HP!)

Mike:

Thanks for the reply and info.

At 76, I am a stubborn old fart and I wanted to do this dual boot thingy
mainly because I was not sure if I wanted to use Win 7 over XP and HP said
that they do not support dual boot and I could not do it on the 6318f. . . .

I could not see any reason why it would not work because a computer is a
computer, computer, etc. - unless there was something different about this
machine (AMD quad core 64 bit).

Any way, it is better than watching trash TV with the wife. . . .
