[Ham-Computers] Switching Between Two Routers; Need to reset?

Hi:
I'm currently using a Linksys (now Ciso-Linksys) BEFSR41 which runs 
fine, except I don't have a password that works.  My password log 
apparently doesn't include the current password. I want to try 
another Linksys modem temporarily.  If I enter data to get it online, 
and then return to the router I currently use, will it work as-is?  I 
briefly connected the second router, and need to enter data to use it.

I could reset the router I currently use, but wondered if it would be 
necessary.
