Thanks.  In defense of McAfee, I will comment that it had run here pretty 
much trouble free for several years.  Although I was a Norton customer from 
the Norton Utility days, I had grown unhappy with it even before they dropped 
support for W2K.  So I wasn't eager to switch back.  And I've found that if 
you run the free version of something that has a paid version you have to 
tolerate some advertising trying to convince you to change over to the paid 
version.  Some worse than others.
