Ron & all:
The file I was using was scanned as a graphic image and that is why I was
unable to use the "find" feature.
I searched the Adboe site and came up empty for a solution; I also tried all
the suggestions from the group.
Since there was only 14 pages involved, I scanned those pages using the HP
scanning software and saved the pages as PDF files. Now, the search function
works!
I wanted to use the search function to help trouble shoot the wiring on a
Globe Scout 680 ~ if I wanted to know how/what was connected to terminal
strip TS-1, I could search on "TS-1" and it will return all instances of
TS-1, thereby allowing me to check the connections to TS-1
WHEW!!
Just thought this info might be useful to others with the same problem. . .
.
Thanks to all that offered help and Happy New Year to all.

|
| PDF viewers have built in search engines that can search pdf files made
from graphic images.
| (scans) The <Ctrl> + F only works when a pdf file originated as a text
(or word) document.
| Look for the binoculars icon.
