It sure will [and does work Dale].  I went and picked up a TRENDnet 2-Port KVM
switch
that is up and running with no problem.  I wanted to work on the wife's pc, and
while talking
with someone I was told to go to Radio Shack and pick one of these up - TK207K -
it is

not very expensive at all.  Very easy to hook up and instructions are very easy
to follow.  All
required cablin is included.
I am planning to pick up another one for myself tomorrow.  [And I have  NO/NO
affliliation
with Radio Shack.].  It saved me going out and buying another monitor. Good
Luck.
Joe

Dave, it won't cause any problems.
Like was said just manually switch between digital and analog in the
menu if both computers are powered up.
