[Ham-Computers] Video Intermittent in Toshiba Tecra TE2100

I am chasing a video intermittent in our daughter's
Toshiba Tecra TE2100.

When I opened it up I discovered that a main connector
just above the ESC key was loose.  I re-seated that
and the laptop worked briefly then the video started
to pop on and off.

Is this a known problem?

Is there a wire or something that is commonly weak
and breaks or works loose or might it be something a
little more serious?
