   If you have the original install floppies, I don't see why you would need a program to a program.
It doesn't have to work, that depends on how closely the program follows the relevant the standards.
If the program made non-standard calls into the kernel (IO.SYS or MSDOS.SYS) those are not there 
anymore.  I recommend learning to use "open office" as it's free, runs on just about any platform 
and will be around after Micro$oft "lands under the runway."  It also is about 10 times more 
versatile.  (useful for more thing, such as creating or editing web sites)
