Yeah, I thinking about doing the same thing. Looking for comments first.
BTW, the task bar isn't loaded and no new programs have been added in over a
year.

I can't remember version numbers but I do remember upgrading a version
and the computer slowing. I dumped AVG and went with Antivir.
Part of the slowdown is caused by the antivirus trying to be more than
an antivirus. Part of it is just bloat.
When using Windows, I find that with a combination of Antivir, Comodo
firewall, and surfing w/o javascript, IE, Flash, and cookies, I'm
generally free of viruses and malware. When I do malware scans, I come
up with nothing.
