I can't say enough about Ubuntu (I use Xubuntu, which is lighter and 
faster).  I run 8.10 on my main boxes and just set up a virtual machine 
to try out 9.04 Alpha 5.  Seems pretty stable thus far.

Have also tried most of the others.
