Subject: [Ham-Computers] Need Affordably Priced Toner Cartridge For HP
HP4Laser printer

Hi All,

I am still using my 1995 era HP 4P Laser printer that I paid about $900 for.

About every third year I must replace the toner cartridge. Now these have
ranged in price from $52 up to $65. The $65 price coming in February of
2006.

Today I called several local suppliers of the HP 4P toner cartridge and got
a jolt in the Rumpus Buttocus Maximus area.
Normally protected by a Cow that donated its hide so that wallet makers
could produce leather containers we humans can hide our cash in. The price
for said toner cartridge had almost doubled in price from $65 to $125!

At first I thought the girl who looked it up had made a mistake. Wrong! I
called a second large national store and inquired as to the price for a new
black toner cartridge for my HP 4P Laser printer. Well, she came back with a
price that was one dollar lower.

I could buy a new Laser printer for just a little more then the stores were
selling the blasted toner cartridge for! So I asked the young lady if the
toner cartridges were less expensive for the new printers, as opposed to
mine from last century? The answer was no. Ridiculous!

Since this printer is still working perfectly, and my software for Quicken
and other applications works with it, I decided to stay with ancient
technology. If the Horse is not dead, ride it Cowboy!

Gentlemen, is there some store somewhere where an old, tired, retired, blind
Magician/Illusionist can procure a new black toner cartridge for his HP 4P
Laser printer without having to make people and electronic scanners vanish?

If so, I would truly appreciate it if one of you kind souls would advise of
whom, where and how to get one! Like yesterday, as this printer fills out my
pre-printed checks so I can keep the buck suckers off my doorstep!

Yes, I know. So do not chastise me for not noticing the toner had done a
magical color change from dark black to barely visible way the heck faded
out gray! Guess I need to have my glass and plastic prostetic left eyeball
checked, heh? Then again, maybe it is time for me to have my visual acuity
tested! Then comes a new prescription for a different shade of UV blocking,
glare resistant and privacey tinted tone shade of gray, brown of that bright
as a highly polished Silver mirror stuff!

It is actually quite amusing, at least to me with my off the Ham Shack wall
warped sense of humor, when those helpful soules at the Optomerist's office
try to give me an eye test! They never seem to observe my battle hardened
and time tortured aluminum White Cane" with more war wounds, bruises in the
reflective glow in the dark radioactive tape wrapped around it, luminiscent
plastic and Titanium blend touch transmitting tip that can be seen by
someone with eyesight so bad they have to stab themself in an eyelid just to
determine if it is a fork or a spoon! Mr. Fischer, would you please read
line two from left to right. Just follow the glowing purple tip of the
modified yardstick I am holding." You know the drill. I got a drivers
license some decades back when I memorized all the possible lines and simply
recited them! As strange as it is, the girl never questioned how a totally
blind man could read any line of the eye chart and get a perfect score!
Scarey! It is even funnier when one looks on my ID card and sees the line
which says; "Must Wear Corrective Shades During Daylight." Like shades help
a person who can not see shadows, shades, street signs or the Empire State
building! Not to mention that speeding Greyhound people express bus that
will definitely flatten any fool who gets into its path! Yes the blind do
have the "Right Of Way", even when said blind person is crossing when the
streetlight is 'RED' not green! But that right of way means nothing other
then "DEAD Blind Man Ahead!" when you are now intermixed with the asphalt or
concrete(LOL!)

Now if I can get a drivers license, it should really worry you the next time
you buckle up and head onto roads where the occupants of those killing
fields on wheels who can 'see' could not pass the eye exam even when wearing
their corrective lenses!

So now you understand why I am desperate to obtain a new black toner
cartridge for my HP 4P Laser printer as I need to update my "Last Will And
Distribution Of Technology document! I have a backup copy in grade two
Braille, but most sighted people nowadays have enough trouble spelling their
own name right on the first try, so Braille dots will most assuredly only
cornfuse their neuron flakes and scatter their cohesion of thought like
neuron synapses shot from gums after a sneeze forming a new Art form on the
dining room wall!

You should have seen the looks of wonderment on the faces of humans at the
custom car lawn shows I went to with my custom street machine. I had a White
Cane stuck into the soil by the front bumper, a leather leash from it to a
chrome plated metal choke chain around the neck of a large and quite
realistic stuffed German Shepard guard dog! The dog had a sign held by his
teeth which read; "BEWARE! DRIVER IS BLIND! MOVE IT OR ELSE! HE'S COMING
THROUGH!"

Thank you for finding me a black toner cartridge and rushing it to my QTH! I
promise whomever helps me that I will never bend his bumper!
