Exactly correct. And since some of the hypertext can be converted to a non
GUI form that can be synthetically spoken, and some other variations can
not, one feels like he is constantly playing a dice game on the freeway.
Then factor in the X/Y coordinates of the mouse pointer and the X/Y
coordinates of the command line cursor. They must coincide exactly, but
seldom do. I wish it was as easy as point - click - shoot to thrill
Want a free educational thrill to get a little taste of the bytes I must
take a bit of constantly? Go the the Freedom Scientific web site and
download the timed demo of JAWS For Windows.
Unless it has been changed, the speech functions will operate for forty-five
minutes before forgetting how to talk!
No cheating now! Keep your eyes shut from boot up onward and see if you can
use a simple utility or program you are familiar with.
Life on the byte trail changes when the function assigned to the button you
just clicked fail to yield the desired function. Such as 'pause' results in
'deltree c:\root
