I don't have any idea. But in case someone else comes along who might,
I'll enter the following. There are two ways to shut down an XP (or W2K)
machine from the "screen". One begins with clicking the Start button at the left
end of the lower tool bar. The other begins by pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
Which are you referring to as "from screen"? Or is it either/both?
