[Ham-Computers] What is a 3-Pin Mini to USB cable used for?

I have this cable in a retractable housing which has a USB
connector on one end and a 3-pin mini phone (next size
down from the common 1/8" audio connector) at the other

Anyone have an idea what devices use such a cable?
