Thanks much Robert,
Aaron sent quite an explanation so I'm going to show that to the tech from my ISP.
According to Aaron, licensing does not apply to this problem. Quite a long messge explaning.
Thanks again & take care,
Ken N5CM

Ken,
No, I don't know of a commercial source for W2K and I don't have an extra "legal" copy here. However, there was a list member here about a year or so ago who had some shrink-wrapped CD's for Office 2000 (I took two) and maybe a couple of other things. Maybe he or anyone else reading might have W2K. Or if there are still any independant computer shops near you, you might check to see whether they have any left. The major chains wouldn't.

Do you know of anyone selling Windows 2000 operating system?
With the long drawn out "fiasco" I have been through with my Dell Dimension 4100, circa 2005, I am still not able to get the
darn program on the internet. I loaded a copy sent to me by a list member. It loaded fine. Even installed my HP Deskjet 722C
printer software and printed out a test sheet which came out fine. But, a technician from my ISP could not get it on the
internet. I suspect because that has something to do with licensing? The tech seems to be new and eager to learn so I
am still in a delimma!
I am so frustrated that I am willing to buy a new copy of Win 2000 (if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg!) so I can get this darn
machine working properly on the internet. It came with Win ME installed which has just about made an old man of me, tho'
I am only 91. Take care,
