[Ham-Computers] "CD" type players, something to be aware of.

Every now and then, I take a lot of my computer equipment apart and clean
it.  A couple of years ago, I had problems with a Sony 52X CD-RW unit.
While cleaning, literally, taking it apart, washing the pieces\components
and re-assembling it, I cleaned a small, what appeared to be silicone ring
on the top clamp that holds the disk firmly to the spindle below, removing
some dust.

Well...

As it turns out, clening it made it TOO tacky in nature and it often adheres
itself to a disk if left in for more than a few hours!  This prevents the
unit from opening.
